We are experiencing difficulty with our computer and email systems. We ask that anyone sending an email to the shelter (or who have already sent emails without response) give us a call at 325-9600 if we do not respond within 24 hours. We are working on resolving the problem and hope to be up and running again soon.
Beginning the week of June 30, the shelter will have new hours:
Wednesdays through Sundays, open 12:00pm-5:00pm.
Closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and all holidays.
Reservations for Whine in the Woods can be made by calling the shelter at (608) 325-9600. No phyiscal tickets will be made for this event, but your name will be added to a reservation list by calling the shelter. There is a limited number of spots available and we expect this event to sell out fast!
A portion of your reservation fee ($25) is tax deductible.

GCHS will also be hosting a low cost spay/neuter clinic open to Green County residents on Saturday, August 9. This clinic is limited to those with a financial need. An application is required. We will be accepting 30 cats for this clinic, with a limit of 2 per household. No feral cats will be accepted. Cats must be transported in a carrier.
Applications for the spay/neuter clinic will be available at the shelter and at the vaccination/microchip clinic. Those interested in the spay/neuter clinic are advised to have their cats vaccinated at the July 19 clinic, as vaccinations are required for the August 9 clinic.
